Why Do the Hudson Ward Maps Need to be Updated?

In the 2020, the Hudson population increased from 22,262 in 2010 to 23,110, a net increase of 848. When the population increases or decreases it often requires redistricting to ensure the population with Hudson City Wards are similar in number. As stated in the Hudson City Charter, the City has one year from the release of the official census data to complete the redistricting based on the new population count.

Council is seeking public input regarding two Census Map Options. There will be a Public Hearing on May 3, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. during the Council Meeting at Hudson Town Hall.
