<h1>Communications Office</h1>The City of Hudson&#39;s Communications Office is committed to communication practices that enhance citizen and employee understanding of City objectives, issues, decisions and challenges. Equally important, the Communications Office seeks to increase citizen engagement and offer meaningful opportunities for feedback about city services and operations.The Communications Office is responsible for social media, website, printed communications, media relations, crisis communications, and public records requests.<h1>We Want to Hear from You! Take our Communications Survey 2024.</h1>The City of Hudson is launching a Communications Survey to understand how residents engage City news. Where do you get your news? How would you like to provide input on City projects and initiatives? How can the City&#39;s communications be better improved? We will use this information as we create our communications strategy for 2025. It only takes 5 minutes, but the information is valuable to help us us provide you with information you want and need in a timely manner.Please complete the survey by November 30, 2024.

Communications

Resident engagement during the <a href="https://www.hudson.oh.us/1411/Comprehensive-Plan" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Comprehensive Plan</a> identified an opportunity to strengthen the branding, amenities, and overall vibrancy of downtown. Specific opportunities identified were to encourage engagement with public spaces, support public art, develop directional signage, enhance and add year-round landscaping and other beautification measures, and honor the history of Hudson. Resident input is vital to understand the community&rsquo;s needs and desires in our downtown public spaces. City staff will seek resident input and work with a landscape architect to make recommendations on items such as:<ul><li>Landscape design/layout of the public greens</li><li>Uniformity of existing amenities such as waste bins, bike racks, and benches</li><li>Opportunities for new public amenities such as fire pits or art installations</li><li>Year-round vibrancy within public flower beds and planters</li><li>Strengthening the connections between Downtown and other retail districts (Evaporator Works, Atterbury Blvd. area)</li></ul>The approximate project area includes public greens, public parking areas, and related street corridors as indicated on the following map:<a href="https://www.hudson.oh.us/DocumentCenter/View/12781/Downtown-Project-Area" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><img src="https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/ehq-production-us-california/d43182c1ef16c7d18b11009482cb655e4c4bef77/original/1720457061/f1d40197d4fa65ff6a74598da2fe9e4b_Downtown_Project_Area_Map.png?1720457061" style="width: 416px;" class="fr-fic fr-dib"></a>Click image to enlarge. Downtown Planning Initiative

As part of the Hudson Sidewalk and Trail Master Plan, a project is being planned to construct a new 5-foot-wide concrete sidewalk along Valley View Road from Hines Hill Road to Hunting Hollow Drive and along Hines Hill Road from Valley View Road to Glastonbury Drive.

The City of Hudson is planning a new sidewalk project along E. Streetsboro St. (Hayden Pkwy. to Stone Rd.) and along Stow Rd. (E. Streetsboro St. to Hudson Springs Park). 

E. Streetsboro St./Stow Rd. Sidewalk Projects

The City of Hudson is planning a new concrete sidewalk and storm water project along the south side of West Streetsboro Street (SR 303), between West Case Drive and Nicholson Drive.

SR 303 Sidewalk Improvements (W. Case to Hudson Crossing Pwky.)

The Leadership Hudson Class of 2024 is proposing to design, build, and donate a public art installation to the City of Hudson.

This is a new sidewalk project on Middleton Road from Valley View Road to High Point Park and on Stow Road from Middleton Road to the Twinsburg Township Corporate line.
