What is Hudson's Comprehensive Plan?

The Comprehensive Plan is a 10-year vision and roadmap for Hudson's future. It guides City decisions about land use planning and major investments such as parks, utilities, sidewalks, and other amenities. The content of the Plan is informed by residents through several community engagement opportunities, including ongoing online engagement on this website. The Plan is carefully guided by the steering committee, which is comprised of Hudson residents and Hudson board representatives who meet regularly to discuss the Plan. The Hudson City Charter requires a review and update of the Comprehensive Plan at least once every 10 years.

We will be offering many opportunities for you to share your comments and suggestions for the Comprehensive Plan. The events will be listed in the Public Engagement listing on the right side of this page. Highlights include:

Community Workshop

A Community Workshop will be held the evening of June 7, 2023 at 7 p.m. at the Hudson High School Media Center. Mark your calendar now! It is critical that community members attend the workshop to provide input about Hudson's future. This is your opportunity to have your questions answered, speak directly with the steering committee, and provide your vision for Hudson.

Community Survey

The Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee is working on a community survey. The survey will be mailed to many Hudson households to obtain a representative response from the community. Not to worry if you do not receive a paper copy in the mail. There will be an opportunity to complete the survey online, too. The online survey will be posted on this site when available.
