The Hudson Park Board is considering a proposal to convert a one-acre lawn area to a wildflower meadow in Hudson Springs Park. The dog run in this area is located about a half mile from the parking lot. The goal is to create and implement a management plan that will allow for natural/native site restoration, biological remedies, and species diversity enhancements. This will result in a dynamic, truly “natural” park. View the slide presentation here: Hudson Springs Park: Imagine the Natural Possibilities.
What’s Your Opinion?
Do you and your dog use this dog run? Is there a place in Hudson that should be considered for a dog park? The wildflower meadow is being proposed in partnership with the Friends of Hudson Parks and would help to increase the diversity of birds and insects in the park.
We Want to Hear from You!
Click on the tab below and let us hear your thoughts on converting the dog run area into a wildflower meadow. WE WILL BE ACCEPTING COMMENTS THROUGH MARCH 20, 2022. Have questions? Ask us in the Questions tab below. We look forward to hearing your comments on this proposal.
