Project Update 5-24-2024
The Contractor has completed all the storm improvements for this project. In the coming weeks, the contractor will continue with grading work and sidewalk installation along the project corridor. The contractor is currently estimating to be completed with this project by August.
The City of Hudson is constructing a new sidewalk on Middleton Road from Valley View Road to SR 91.
Staff and the consultant presented the proposed sidewalk alignment to City Council at the Council Workshop on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. The meeting can be livestreamed on the City Website.
The City held a public information meeting on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Hudson City Hall, lower level, 1140 Terex Road, Hudson, Ohio from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.City staff and representatives from the consultant TranSystems were available to answer resident questions at the meeting. The conceptual sidewalk plan and other exhibits were made available for review at the meeting. All exhibits that were presented at the Public Input meeting are attached to this image link below.
Codified Ordinances Regarding Sidewalk Maintenance and Responsibility
Homeowners will be responsible for keeping their new sidewalk free of snow, ice and debris. Here are the City Ordinances addressing maintenance responsibilities: Sidewalk Ordinances.

The sidewalk will be installed along Stow, but my driveway is a little over 200 feet away from the new sidewalks location, there is no sidewalk running from Stow Rd to my drive. Thank you for your response. The question being asked is hard to follow and I’m asking for clarification on what you’re asking or what corner you live on? It sounds like you may live off a side street and Stow Road fronts your property and you’re asking how you’ll clear the sidewalk? If this sounds correct, residents are required to remove snow from sidewalk that front their properties per the City of Hudson Codified Ordinance.
