Hudson Senior Network

The Hudson Senior Network Foundation is a group of caring volunteers established in 2018 to encourage social connections and promote healthy, vibrant, and meaningful living opportunities for Hudson seniors as they age. Hudson Senior Network Foundation Events

The Hudson Senior Network (HSN) hosts a series of classes, events, and social opportunities throughout the year. All activities are free of charge to participants, with a nominal fee offering suggested for some programs.

Class and Event Information:

We offer strengthening and fall prevention classes (Movement Monday Classes) along with educational and social events (Wednesday Special Events) during the year.

Monday Classes. Below are the classes offered on Monday's designed to help strengthen and prevent falls:

Stability Ball Class: You must be able to get on the floor without assistance. You must be able to get out of a chair unassisted and ambulate without assistance. You must bring your own stability ball with you. This class is offered from 9:00am-9:20am.

Balance Class: You must be able to get on the floor without assistance. You must be able to get out of a chair unassisted and ambulate without assistance. This class is offered from 9:30am-10:30am.

Chair Yoga Class: Suitable for everyone. All levels welcome. This class is offered from 10:45am-11:30am.

Wednesday Special Events. Below are some of the upcoming 2023 educational and social events planned:

Brain Exercises; Make a Wreath; AED Fire & EMS Safety; Cyber Scams; Card Making; Self Defense; Arthritis Help; Hearing; Chico's Fashion Show; Movie; Avoiding Probate; Learning about Herbs; Antiques & Appraisals; Girl Scouts; Portage Lakes Boat Trip; Learned Owl Books; Drug Interactions; Holiday Party.

Wednesday Chair Massages. Chair Massages will be offered for in 15 minute increments on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month by a licensed massage therapist. The fee will be $15 per chair massage. Thursday Mahjong Class. Please contact Nancy Kolodgy directly on her cell phone at (330) 701-3000 for registration information and details on taking this class.

Friday Lunch Bunch. Please contact James Rothgery at (330) 310-2738 or james.rothgery@gmail.com for further information.

Class Location: All HSN Monday classes and Wednesday special events are held in the City Hall Community Rooms, 1140 Terex Road, unless otherwise indicated. There is a wide center walkway from the back parking lot to the back of City Hall. Follow the center wide sidewalk. As you approach City Hall, enter through the large doors in the center of the building. The Community Rooms are located there.

Parking at City Hall: Please park in the back parking lot where the Employee Parking is located. The Community Rooms are located in the back of City Hall (see above).
